yarn rascal cone

Yes, the Yarn Rascal is sporting a cone for 2 weeks. He didn’t get hurt dresser climbing, we had him neutered on Friday. The doctor doesn’t want the stitches pulled out by little teeth. The cone and the operation has put a crimp in his daily yarn stealing. I waffle between feeling happy about that and then sad for the little guy.

I am sending my bunting to Yarndale. I was so elated when Lucy provided the address in her blog Attic24 that I wrapped them in tissue paper, put them in the mailing envelope with proper address attached and sat there beaming at my efficiency. Then it hit me. What an idiot I can be. I never took pictures of them. hence the picture of the mailing envelope

One bunting is done in the colors of a sunset in the southwest. With a few I played around with Victorian-type colors. And the last two combined colors into what I thought happiness would look like if it were expressed in colors. Take pictures next time, will be burned into my brain.

I have managed to finish the back of the Charlotte Baby Sweater.

The Yarn Rascal is never far from the action.

The fronts of the sweater are still in the ball of yarn.

The weather is expected to be very hot and humid this week so my knitting will be kept to small objects. The fronts of the baby sweater or maybe a sock would do. I don’t know why, but I am itching to start a new project. My mind keeps coming up with ideas for baby blankets, a knitted color block blanket for an adult. I also have a number of patterns that are not my own that are on my to-do list. Two are shawls that are just great and one is a sweater worked in intarsia by Rowan. The Yarn Rascal and little balls of hanging yarn….oh the delight!
